Strike A Pose: In First Official Movie Promo Shot Yaya DaCosta Dresses Up As 80s Whitney

Cop a gander at “America’s Next Top Model” alum and actress Yaya DaCosta, who is all set to play the late Whitney Houston in Lifetime’s upcoming biopic.

In full makeup and hair the 31-year-old struck a pose mimicking the legendary singer’s photo from 1987’s Whitney. How does she look?

Set to air next year, DaCosta, whose big and small screen appearances include "Ugly Betty" and most recently, "Lee Daniels' The Butler,” will portray Houston’s early career success and her volatile relationship with ex-husband and R&B star, Bobby Brown.

Angela Bassett will make her directorial debut with the film that is tentatively titled "Whitney Houston." Shem Bitterman wrote the script and Larry Sanitsky will produce.
